Aubergine & Coral

I had just begun to work with the New Luxury Experts and I had Shanghai, Opium, The Last Emperor's glamour in my mind. Aubergine is one of my top fave colours and it took a while to achieve that particular shade. I had not seen it combined with coral red before, I took the bold decision to put both colours together and introduce Antique Gold to accent, painstakingly injecting the colours and pleating the fabric. I loved the result. Traditional robe shapes, revisited the harem trousers, introducing cowling and buttons on the side. By this time I had become obsessed with ribbons.
